It’s business like Clockwork, for rebranded construction firm
A Cardiff-based construction firm has rebranded as it enjoys impressive growth.
Seraph Property Maintenance, the construction arm of The Seraph Group, has become Clockwork after eight years in business.
Clockwork, which has a team of 23, is based on Albany Road in the Cathays area of Cardiff and was founded in 2009 by Douglas Haig as part of The Seraph Group; a portfolio of businesses in the property sector.
Speaking of the rebrand, Mr Haig said: “This move is about much more than rebranding. We went through this process in a very methodical manner to ensure that our business and our people were indeed running like clockwork.
“The construction sector is littered with poor service; from no-shows to lateness. We have gone through a lengthy and rigorous course of action to instil ethics and values within our people to ensure that this does not happen with Clockwork. After nearly a decade of working in this sector, it is clear to me that people value service and quality over cost. Whilst we aim to keep our prices sensible, we ensure that our customers get the right advice, the best service and a flawless end-product; all delivered like clockwork.”
With regards to the success of the business, Mr Haig said: “We have experienced a real boom over the last few years which has led us from smaller maintenance jobs to large-scale projects. We never turn down smaller work but it is satisfying to see us progress on to larger projects as well as evolve from being a subcontractor to the primary source. Recently, we have developed multiple unit sites for both residential and commercial premises and rolled out our facilities management service; including a project of nine new-build houses in Cardiff.”
At year-end 2017, the business turned over £1.9M, a 25% increase from the same period in 2016.
Mr Haig continued: “The last few years have been incredibly rewarding. We have not been without our challenges but anything we have had to overcome has made us better people and a better business. We have learned a huge amount about ourselves and what type of business we want to grow and sustain. This rebrand is about communicating those values publicly and holding ourselves accountable. We strive to be the benchmark that others in the construction and property market measure themselves against when it comes to quality, service and reliability.”
