Meet The Team

Olly, our Head of Lettings, oversees both James Douglas and My Student Living brands, assisting tenants and landlords with all rental queries in Wales. He identifies market trends and swiftly communicates them, ensuring excellent service for both parties. Specializing in rental valuations, including complex setups and commercial builds, Olly also enjoys family time, long dog walks, and exploring new restaurants.

Bernie, our Head of Sales, brings over 16 years of experience in the property industry, covering property management, corporate, lettings, and sales. Fully qualified with ARLA/Propertymark and Rent Smart Wales, she manages both Nuttall Parker and James Douglas Sales teams, ensuring top-quality property listings at optimal prices. Outside of work, Bernie loves exploring new countries and cities, walking her Cockapoo ‘Pickle,’ gardening, and spending time with family.

Matthew, our Senior Sales Negotiator at the Pontypridd branch, has been in estate agency since 2016, gaining experience with both independent and corporate firms in the Pontyclun/Pontypridd areas. He handles property valuations, photography, viewings, sales negotiation, and progression with James Douglas. Outside of work, Matthew is a passionate Liverpool FC fan but is happy to assist Manchester United supporters as well. He also enjoys spending time with his 8-year-old daughter.

Meet Tyler, our Cardiff sales team leader with nearly a decade of experience in property sales, service, and conflict resolution. He makes the selling process smooth and stress-free for everyone, whether you're new or experienced. Tyler is also working towards a Level 3 qualification in residential sales and lettings, showcasing his dedication to excellent customer service.

Tony is our Sales Negotiator and has joined Nuttall Parker in 2015 after a successful career in the printing and advertising industry. Nuttall Parker was acquired by James Douglas and The Seraph Group in 2020. Tony is always out and about busy accompanying viewings and liaising with vendors and buyers. He is constantly enthusiastic and his focus on customer service has developed excellent relationships with clients. On weekends off Tony can be found on one of the mountain bike trails in South Wales

Dave is our Sales Valuer and Lister, who joined Nuttall Parker in 2020 which was acquired by The Seraph Group later that year. Dave's drive and ambition for sales translates perfectly to our clients, when he visits properties for valuations and take-ons. He prepares all the floor-plans and professional photography so our properties are portrayed in the best possible light. Dave's background is a mixture of corporate, independent, sales and lettings and is a key player in the team.

Hannah, our Lettings Negotiator, brings over a year of industry experience, with a background in private student accommodation. Her excellent client care and communication skills are backed by a Business Administration Level 2 and Rent Smart Wales Agent License. Passionate about lettings and aspiring to branch into sales, Hannah enjoys staying active with country walks with her boyfriend and their dog, traveling with friends and family, and exploring new restaurants.

Gemma, our Sales and Lettings Negotiator based in the Cardiff branch, has been in the property industry since 2018. She handles both property sales and residential lettings, serving as the main contact for viewings. Passionate about guiding clients through finding their ideal home, shefinds the process both rewarding and fulfilling. With her deep knowledge of Cardiff, she’s a valuable resource for those moving to the area. Outside of work, Gemma stays active through socializing, fitness, and adventurous activities.

Meet Adam Severn, our enthusiastic Lettings Negotiator in Newport. With 18 months in estate agency and a sales background from West Wales Pembrokeshire, Adam expertly guides landlords and tenants through their tenancy journey. He studied at UWE and gained leadership experience as a restaurant supervisor before moving into real estate.</p> <p>A Chelsea FC fan and regular at Wales games, Adam enjoys football, rugby, tennis, golf, and staying active at the gym. He also loves socializing at the pub.

Kelsey is our Lettings Valuer at the Pontypridd office, covering Rhondda Cynon Taff and the South Wales Valley. Since 2018, she has used her expertise to help landlords achieve optimal rental yields and find the best tenants. As a landlord herself, Kelsey understands the market’s complexities and applies her experience in sales, lettings, and property management to her role. Qualified with Rent Smart Wales and Safeagent, Kelsey is dedicated to her profession. Outside of work, she enjoys investing in property renovations and spending time with her son.

Charmaine joined the team as our Sales Progressor, wanting to get back into a career following raising two children. She has an empathetic understanding towards our clients when going through the purchase and selling of a home. Charmaine’s part time role allows her to spend quality time with her two young children and take them on a number of activities in an effort to tire them out! What you probably didn't know about Charamine is that she lives on a farm, fully embracing rural life. She is also a qualified beauty therapist!

Olivia holds a Real Estate degree from Oxford Brookes University and is certified under Rent Smart Wales. With two years of experience in property management, especially in student and short-term lettings, she brings both academic knowledge and practical expertise to our Cardiff branch. Olivia excels in supporting the Lettings Team with her understanding of the rental market. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, and watching documentaries. A fun fact about her is that she can build and fix PCs, as well as tackle any Excel spreadsheet challenge!
